Carry the light across the coast the sea forgot.
Terms of play
Draft, to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
Version 2026-11-03-draft. These terms are an agreement between you and [the operator’s legal name and address, to be filled in before launch] (“we”), who runs Tidebell.
1. Who may play
- Tidebell is for adults. You must be 18 or older to make an account or play.
- Give your real date of birth. We close accounts we find belong to someone under 18.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
2. The game
- Tidebell is played online. Our servers run the game’s rules, roll its dice and keep your progress.
- We may change, rebalance, pause or end parts of the game, and we may reset progress when a fault or an exploit requires it. We will tell you in the game when we can.
- We aim to keep the game available but cannot promise that it always will be.
3. Fair play
- Do not cheat: no modified clients, bots, scripts or automation, no exploiting bugs, and no extra accounts to farm rewards or rivals.
- Choose a display name that does not insult, impersonate or harass anyone.
- We may warn, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and remove what they gained.
4. No gambling
- Nothing random is sold for money. There are no loot boxes, no paid draws and no paid rerolls of random results.
- Items, tools, currencies and progress in Tidebell have no money value. You cannot sell, trade, transfer or cash them out, and we will never buy them back.
- There are no real-money prizes. Rewards for boards, seasons and events are in the game only, and entering them never costs money.
5. Purchases
- The store is not open yet. When it opens, every price is shown in real money, including tax where the law requires it.
- Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, which may act as the seller of record and collect tax. Your card details go to that provider, never to us.
- Before you pay we show what you get, the total price and any renewal terms. Where you have a right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, we ask for your consent before delivery starts, and tell you when that right ends.
- Refunds follow the law of your country and the refund policy we will publish with the store.
6. Ending your account
- You may stop playing and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy notice).
- We may close an account that breaks these terms. Where the law allows, we tell you why.
7. Liability
[To be written with a lawyer: what we are and are not responsible for, within what the law of the player’s country allows.]
8. Changes
When these terms change we will say so in the game, and ask you to accept the new version before you carry on.
9. Contact
